1.Olay Pro-X Advanced Cleansing System, 0.68-Fluid Ounce

I know you are wondering if a $28 item can compare at all to something that cost nearly ten times the price. The answer is YES! I have the Clarisonic Pro - which is the top of the line for their model, so before you spend the money on both, I'll do a side by side comparison for you. Mind you, I am VERY happy with my Clairsonic. Even knowing that this I am happy I made the purchase for both of them, since they are fairly different. Here's why:

Size: The Olay Pro-X is about half the size of the Clarisonic. This is actually better in many ways. It is easier to hold, lightweight, it fits in my shower caddy easily without dropping, you can travel with it very easily. I think this is my favorite part about the differences. It also makes the brush head much smaller, which has a different effect. Of course, the motor is at least half the size as well, and this effects how this feels. I can't actually say it is better or worse than the Clarisonic, it's just different. It is like getting a Sweedish massage (Olay) as opposed to a deep tissue massage (Clarisonic).

The bottom line: I think the Olay Pro-X is a steal. If you are on the fence about which to buy this or the Clarisonic, and you only need it for your face and not your body, you will probably be better off saving your money and going with this! Personally, I am glad I have both. This is definitely worth the investment!
Here's why I love this particular BB cream.
- great oil control (my face looks like an oily slick by the end of the day w/ regular make-up. And much sooner when I'm bare faced)
- light feel, but good enough coverage that I wear it alone on normal days (it doesn't cover dark spots, so when I go out, I just spot cover with a little of my regular foundation)
- evens skin tone greatly. Again, even though it doen't have complete coverage, it evens out my skin that it doesn't look blotchy.
- It's super cheap, and the size is not small.
- Does not require a lot each application. For me, 3-4 dots for face and neck. The bottle will last a long time.

2. Salicylic Acid 20% Gel Peel, 30ml (Professional)

I have used this product once a week for the past three months. I have had problem skin for years, very oily and frequent break outs. I purchased this product for the scars the acne leaves since I heard it works great for this purpose. While it hasn't completely eliminated the scars, it does peel some skin off the scar, and has made them almost invisible. Not quite gone, but barely noticeable anymore.

For past six weeks or so I have also been using retinol cream,
Retinol Cream (Vitamin A 100,000 Iu Per Ounce) - 2 Oz. + FREE Herbal Authority - Roll-On Blemish Stick with Tea Tree Oil. I have been applying it every night and lately my skin has not only cleared up but also looks and feels much smoother than it has been for awhile. The combination of these products are working wonders for my skin, and for the low cost, it would be my first recommendation for anyone with skin problems

3. Biore Pore Perfect Deep Cleansing Pore Strips , 14 Nose Strips

I've been using these for the last couple years now and I they have totally cleaned up and minimized the look of my pores on my nose. I recommend using a strip right after a nice, hot shower. You'll be clean and your pores will be open. It leaves your nose looking a little red, but goes away pretty quickly. No more blackheads after using this just once, it's great!

For the rest of my face, I use
Good 'N Natural 100% Pure Tea Tree Oil + FREE Roll-On Blemish Stick with Tea Tree Oil. Tea tree oil is an amazing thing in itself. I tend to get pimples in the form of whiteheads and if I can resist popping them till I get home, I will apply some tea tree oil and the next morning they will literally have shrunk back into my skin. Really Good stuff.

So for blackheads get the pore strips and for white heads, get some tea tree oil. Okay, I think we covered all the different colored heads...good luck!

4. Aztec Secret - Indian Healing Clay, 1 lb clay

I am 32 years old with extremely sensitive skin. I have acne, eczema, large pores and my skin will dry into a red rash due to changing weather or caused by some products. No amount of Retional, Accutane, Protiviti, Clearisil etc etc has ever taken care of my problems.

I just used this mask for the first time (with applecider vinegar) and my skin feels super soft. My pores have shrunk to the point that I am using one of those (horrific) magnifying mirrors and they still look small. I did feel the tightening and pulling that others have described but it was satisfying to know the product was working. My face did turn red immediately after the treatment, but that faded within 20 minutes. I am VERY pleased with the result and will use this again frequently.

I have used clay-based face masks before, including the bar and tube from Fresh, a mud mask from Sabon, and also fresh masks from Lush (the Chocolate clay one is my fave). None of those masks have produced as good a result as this product. PLUS this clay was far less expensive than the products i just mentioned.

A big thank you to the reviewer who said that you can find this at Wholefoods. I was able to find it there for $6 after reading about it on amazon yesterday. I only had to use 1 tablespoon worth of the product (plus 1T of liquid) to cover my entire face and neck so I will expect this jar will last me a year or more!

I'll have to provide an update if it helps my Acne but its too soon to tell...

5. 1.0mm Micro Needle Roller Skin Care Therapy Dermatology System

I've had all kinds of skin treatments. Thermage, Fraxel, Cosmelon, Alpha Hydroxyl Acid Peels, even a couple of Jessner Peels and I used to use Retin-A. So far, this Needle Roller has been one of the most effective and least expensive things I've tried yet. I read up on it before purchasing and in some cases people have paid as much as $100 for one of these gadgets, so the price was really the main thing that attracted me.

I chose the 1.00mm size as it was stated elsewhere that the larger 1.5mm and up will puncture the skin too deeply and cause bleeding. This size seems to be perfect. It abrades the skin enough so that serums (I use Skinbiology Copper with it) will penetrate and be more effective.

The abrasion also triggers a "healing response" in the skin, so age spots, scars, etc. (which I consider to be a result of "incomplete healing") have a chance to further heal and diminish or go away entirely. I clean my roller after each use by squirting rubbing alcohol over it and drying off the excess with a blow dryer. It comes in a handy clear plastic case for storage that prevents the needles from touching anything so they remain clean and won't bend. You roll it on an area back and forth about 20 times each direction.

Not the most pleasant sensation, it feels like a cactus rubbing on my skin. You can use a numbing cream with it, which I haven't tried yet--but I will. It causes a reddening similar to a sunburn that is usually gone by morning when I use it at night. Otherwise I am able to cover it with some concealer (I use either GloMinerals Camouflage or Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer).

I noticed the very next day, after the 1st use, how much younger and better my skin looked. I've also been using it on the back of my hands and they are also looking younger as a result. I have a DPL and a Lightstim that I use twice a day (both) and I think that ALL of this combined, Derma Roller, Copper Serum, high quality cosmetics and LED red light therapy are a MUCH more effective and extremely affordable way to improve the appearance of my skin, especially in comparison to the $$$ I wasted at the dermatologist's office on the treatments I had (was talked into). And it's done in a slow, subtle way that is probably better in the long run for my skin.

6. Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes, Refill Pack, 25 Count

I travel for a living, and schlepping my skin-care products through TSA security lines can be a hassle. Enter the Neutrogena Make-Up Remover Towelettes!

In a nutshell: These things simply work. They're pre-moistened so you don't need water, and they take off your makeup in one shot-- waterproof mascara and eternal-wear lipstick, too. No scrubbing, no irritation; only happy, soft skin.

Best of all: These contain moisturizers so your skin isn't all tight, but they don't leave your skin feeling like an Exxon Valdez victim either.

This specific product is the refill pack, which would (hypothetically) be placed into a plastic blue vanity box in your bathroom... though, for my purposes, tossing this resealable pack into my suitcase is just fine.

7. Olay Regenerist Night Recovery Moisturizing Treatment, 1.7 Ounce

This formula performs - I have been using Repechage for years - and this cream locked more moisture into my skin after one application than my whole experience with pricey French-based marine cosmetics. It's not greasy at all - it absorbs very well into the skin - even the day time formula. My skin feels like a baby's butt (!) and it is healthier and cleaner. I'm so...

8. Neutrogena Wave Power-Cleanser and Deep Clean Foaming Pads

In essence, the Wave is a pore cleaner that works by gently vibrating your skin to shake loose the contents of your pores. This is NOT meant to be an exfoliator or toner. It does its job exceedingly well, which surprised me. I have tested many, many skin care products over the years, and was quite cynical about this one working. Really, it does.

First, the theory. Your face is full of pores - i.e. holes that go downward into your skin. Dirt, sweat, make-up and other junk gets stuck in those holes. That is what forms blemishes. The more dirt and such you have in your pores, the more they are "pushed open" and the bigger they look. Keeping them as clean as possible also makes them as small as possible, so your skin has a smoother overall look.

This small handheld device lets you attach a pad to the face of it, then you moisten that pad to get the soap going. It isn't a "big foaming" soap, it's a very subtle one. Again, the aim is not to cover your face with foam. It's for the vibrations to get the small amount of gentle foam down into your pores. Pores are small :) You hold that vibration on one spot, to vibrate open the pores beneath the device. You don't want to "drag" the wave, like you would with an exfoliant. The aim is not to drag the pores open. It is to shake them up gently to loosen their contents, so that the washing stage gets those contents out of your skin. So you put the wave onto various parts of your skin, in order to do that. Then you rinse the junk all free. If anything your aim is to open the pores as little as possible, so that once the junk is shaken out of them, they can close up to a small size.

I like how easily the pads go on and off the sticky face, but it seems really odd to me the pads come in a non resealable foil pouch. There's no way at all to even "fold over the top" to keep them moist! That's a pretty simple fix for them to have made. That being said, there's really no way I'm going to go out and eternally buy pads for a device. I would just use cotton balls with my own Neutrogena acne soap (which I use daily and *love*). This would get me my favorite soap option along with the pore-cleansing capabilities of this device.

It's one of those investment things. If you invest the time to keep your skin clear and healthy, it will reward you by looking wonderful and doing its job of keeping you safe from germs. If you want a quick-fix to just soap off the outer layer of grime - or exfoliate off the outer layer of skin - you won't get the same results. So I highly recommend this as something which does take time to use, but you might be surprised at just how much better your pores are if you do invest that time and effort.

9. St. Ives Facial Moisturizer, Timeless Skin Collagen Elastin, 10oz

I love the St. Ives brand, been using it for years with no complaints. This is my morning time moisturizer. After I get out of the shower I will apply this to my face and neck while my skin is still warm, and pores are still open for the hot water. At night time, I will wash face with warm water and soap and apply retinol cream to the same areas, Retinol Cream (Vitamin A 100,000 Iu Per Ounce) - 2 Oz. + FREE Herbal Authority - Roll-On Blemish Stick with Tea Tree Oil. I use to get mild acne which always seemed to stick around no matter what I did. This combination has not only made my skin noticeably smoother and firmer, but the acne I use to get is all but gone. From time to time, I will get a blemish here and there, but it is much less noticeable and if you get the blemish stick which comes with retinol cream and use it as soon as you feel a zit coming in, it will usually go away by the next morning before it even pops its ugly head out. For someone on a budget, these two moisturizer provide a ton of benefit for a how little they cost.

10. SKIN79 Super+ Beblesh Balm BB Cream Triple Function ( Pink Label ) SPF25 PA++ 40g

I bought this along with the M Missha cream in shade 21. I love this Pink Skin79 BB cream. It very light weight, goes on like a lotion rather than a foundation. The color does come a bit light, but it somewhat works out for me fine. I like to use this on days that I like to go natural because it hides my uneven skin tone which is light yellowish with pink undertone, freckles/pimple scars and dark spots. On days that I like a good coverage I applied a darker powder foundation on top to even out the color. This cream does help with controlling my oiliness compare to the M Missha. When I wore the Missha, my skin got oilier. Overall, this BB cream comes with very cute packaging, very convenience and easy to wear. I do notice my skin tone is improving ever since I started using this cream. If you're looking for something of darker shades or more coverage, this would not be it, after all this is not a foundation. It's more like a tinted moisturizer with all the good benefits of sunscreen/whitening/even skin tone

I really hope this information is helpful.  Till next time! ;)

  2. They forgot to include Venapro on the list, which really effective when it comes to bruises and hemorrhoids issues and I disagree that Salicylic Acid is in the 2nd spot because too many reviews and feedback from some women that rashes and itchiness is what they've got by the time they've used Salicylic acid.
